Move-Out Guide

📝 Cancel Your Agreement

Cancel your lease through OmaPSOAS or with a cancellation form (phone cancellations not accepted). For shared leases, all tenants must confirm the cancellation. Notice period is one calendar month – for example to move out at May’s end, cancel by April 30th. Fixed-term leases end automatically on the specified date.

📱 Cancel Other Services

Remember to inform DNA about internet service (+35844144044) and contact your electricity provider if you have a separate agreement.

🧹 Clean Your Apartment

Thorough cleaning is required before moving out. In shared apartments, all tenants are responsible for common areas (kitchen, hall, bathroom). Inadequate cleaning will result in a minimum 50 € charge from your deposit.

🔍 Apartment Inspection

Inspections include condition and cleaning checks. The condition checks begin from the 20th of your move-out month, so that there is still enough time before the new lease to fix any flaws or damages found. The cleaning checks are made as close to moving out as possible.

For scheduling presence during inspection, contact the janitor. Janitor’s contact information will be provided when the lease is cancelled. If you don’t schedule a certain time for the inspection the janitor will use a maintenance key to enter the apartment. In shared apartments it is recommended to present during the inspection. Inspections are only done on working days.

📦 Clear the storage

Clear your storage completely. Left items will be removed at your expense, and PSOAS isn’t responsible for abandoned belongings.

🔑 Key Return

Return the keys by 12 noon on the first business day of the month following the end of your lease. Depending on the apartment location, return the keys to either PSOAS Studio or PSOAS Lounge:

For after-hours returns, use the key return box. Put the keys in an envelope with your name and address on it. At PSOAS Studio the box is located outside, next to office front door. At PSOAS Lounge the boxes are located next to PSOAS Lounge front door (inside University) and outside at staircase C.

Direct handover to new tenants requires inspection completion and signed handover form. Early key return is appreciated as it makes it easier for the next tenant to move in. Note: Leaving keys in apartment incurs a 50 € charge.
