This year the annual Lumo Light Festival will be presenting also a PSOAS light installation “Inner Glow”. The installation was ordered to celebrate the 50 operating years of PSOAS and to bring light to the Yliopistokatu region during the dark period of the fall and winter.
The light installation was designed by Arttu Nieminen, Johan Pietarinen and Jan-Erik Leutola. Arttu Nieminen describes the piece of art as follows:
“The shape of the installation invites you to identify your internal moods through an abstract combination of lights. Empathy, joy and internal light are the elements of the installation. Each one of the three installation parts is a unique combination of constantly changing reflections through prisms into the concrete.”
The three different parts of the Inner Glow can be found in Yliopistokatu 4, 20 and 32.
